This on-site presentation and workshop involved mapping the land use and energy consumption of data centers, the physical infrastructure of "the cloud," and assessing their environmental impact in Wieringermeer, the Netherlands. 'Pocketpower,' symbolizes the omnipresence of smartphones in The Cloud’s infrastructure while reimagining their function to resist it. Workshop participants used infra-cage fabrics to disconnect their phones and took a survey sparking discussions that resulted in an archive of speculative scenarios created by participants.
