Landscape On Hold

This project is a cinematic and hypothetical re action on our exponensially growing exposure to transitional phases, which have untried beginnings and unknown end points. This motion graphics and video installation was displayed in Shelter (Amsterdam), de School (Amsterdam), Worm (Rotter- dam) and W139 (Amsterdam).

Unprecedented financial crisis, displacements or conflicts of social norms can expose us to involuntary conditions. The inceptive confrontation with the circumstances evokes a state of mind that tries to perceive the logic of the context through recollection and repetition. Exhausted of impenetrable misalignments of an unstable state, the transfigurative mind composes images that are erratic in pattern and ambiguous in significance.
